Kadiköy is a fascinating district of Istanbul, sitting on the Asian side of the Sea of Marmara. Historically it was known as "Chalcedon", literally meaning the "City of the Blind." As you walk, your expert local guide will bring to life the rich and vibrant history that makes Kadiköy such an interesting place. Begin by passing Üsküdar on the Asian side. See Marmaray under the Bosphorus before taking a walking tour of this charming Ottoman district, full of historic mosques and complexes. From here your guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the famous fish market and onto the enchanting Moda quarter. Stops at beautiful churches, mosques and mansions will all be included along the way. The tour concludes with a wonderful 20-minute ferryboat cruise on the famous Bosphorus.
